A Hybrid Mobile App For Kids’ Activities

Project Goal

Parents are always concerned about their children’s development and strive to find the best ways to include their kids in kids’ activities groups, where they can grow and learn new things.

A client of ours came up with the concept to create a kid- and parent-friendly app that would schedule local physical activities and invite parents to join the groups with their kids to participate in kid-focused activities. To meet all of our client’s needs, we intended to create a hybrid mobile app with various features for both iOS and Android users.

Solution

The list of requirements to achieve the desired results was very long so following the initial discussions, our team realized the possibilities of using the React Native technology to develop the mobile app and provided the following solutions:

It was the most prioritized feature; parents can see the various groups in their surrounding areas and vote to attend the activities. They can choose the dates when they want to participate in the activities and check the selected dates in the app for upcoming events. Parents can also create their own public and private groups and invite their friends and family to join.

Our team add this feature of creating activities where the parents can add the activities in their created group and share it with everyone. It allows users to add their interests, and age group preferences, and schedule it according to them.

To make the application more users friendly, we implement the feature of chatting where the group members can chat with each other and understand the other group members. They can check their chat tab for incoming messages.

It is required to have a custom dashboard for the admin to manage all the user and group information. To fulfill this requirement, we developed a custom admin dashboard where the admin can access and customize all the details of groups.

Paid subscriptions are yet another effective strategy used by many well-known mobile app companies to boost their performance. Similarly, we implemented this feature with multiple monthly and yearly subscription plans to benefit our clients.

It is a great feature to give alerts to users for new updates, messages, activities, etc. So our developers add a push notifications feature where users will receive the notification of new messages, activities, and groups. Users can also enable and disable the push notifications feature in settings.

To collect the payment from users it was mandatory to integrate the trustworthy payment gateway for a seamless payment experience, so our team integrated the stripe payment gateway for processing the online payments.
