A ChatGPT Powered AI Email Generator for Gmail

Project Goal

The project aimed to develop a ChatGPT powered Gmail extension with ability to write, reply and summarize the emails. This Google workspace extension was meant to lift the burden of email writing & transform Gmail into an AI-powered productivity machine.

Our team deployed the OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 AI language model to integrate the functionality for auto email generation. All users needs to do is input details about them, their recipient and topic they are discussing for generating emails that are clear and on target.

The solution devised by our time was also capable of generating replies for the emails received by the users. To make it happen. We trained the ChatGPT model to use the context of the email thread to generate an appropriate response for the email the user wishes to respond to.

Matching email writing style can become challenging when you use an AI-powered tool for it. To overcome it, we provided an option to choose the most appropriate style and tone to generate emails so that they can sound like the users.

It was yet another interesting feature that we implemented to overcome the language barriers between senders and recipients of emails. The user can use this feature to generate emails in a language they understand and then translate them into the languages the recipients understand.

We provided a feature to regenerate emails so that users get exactly what they seek while using our solution. Once the user clicks the button to regenerate the emails, the tool provides as many variations of the email as they like.

The extension was equipped with multi-lingual features to help non-native language speakers. It can work in more than 30 languages so that users can generate emails in the languages they’re most comfortable with.

Accessing email through Mobile phones is a common practice. In fact, the frequency of accessing, writing & sending emails is much higher on mobile phones than on desktops/laptops. With this in view, we optimized this solution to work efficiently on mobile devices as well.
