WordPress is widely recognized as a top-tier CMS platform for developing full-fledged online stores that take advantage of the various business opportunities offered by e-commerce. Despite offering an extensive selection of pre-built templates that simplify the web development process, WordPress may lack certain unique features that are essential for developing product display and services-based websites.
One of our clients decided to develop a custom WordPress website for tailoring-based business to display their products and services. They wanted to provide the best users experience to their customers across the world.
Solution
Our team kickstarted the project after understanding all the requirements and needs of the client. It was a time taking project which required a lot of effort, so the WordPress development team at TBI led this project and began everything from scratch.
After tirelessly working on this project, our development team successfully completed it and provided the following solutions:
Developing a custom WordPress theme to showcase products on the website was a high-priority requirement. We utilized several UI and UX components to enhance the website’s performance. We employed various PHP files and HTML coding to create and divide all the sections, including:
- Header
- Body
- Footer
After developing a custom theme for the website, it was crucial to develop the other pages of the website. We started from the homepage and then developed the other essential pages that were required to display the products and perform other important actions. Below are some pages that we developed from scratch:
- Login & Registration Page
- Homepage
- Products Page
- Categories Page
We were working on custom development and the list of requirements was very long, one of the key requests from the client was to restrict access to certain content on the website for non-logged-in users.
Our team designed a landing page for new users that redirects them to the registration and login page to continue and access the restricted products pages.
We can see in the above video when the non-logged-in user tried to explore the client service room, it asks for login or registration.
Due to the requirement for restricted website content, our team developed the custom registration page to allow users to access restricted content that is not visible to non-logged-in users. We made the registration process user-friendly and straightforward, where users can enter their personal details and apply for login credentials.
To uphold the website’s brand value and security, we implemented a manual approval process where the admin can approve user registrations . When a user applies for registration, their details are forwarded to the admin panel for review, where the admin can either approve or reject the application.
As soon as the admin takes action, the user receives an instant confirmation email regarding their request.
Default WordPress has limited fields for creating and publishing new posts. To improve the website’s visibility on social media platforms, we designed various custom fields with additional features for our client’s website.
Our team added extra fields that the admin could utilize while uploading a new post on the website.

Social media is a helpful method for enhancing views and engagement. However, creating and uploading posts on various social platforms can be time-consuming and tedious. To streamline this process, we have integrated the FS Poster plugin.
This plugin allows for automatic posting on linked social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. We aimed to simplify social media management and increase efficiency by automating the posting process.
In addition to the above solutions, we also ensured that the custom WordPress website will be fully optimized for mobile responsiveness. We used various techniques such as responsive design, flexible layouts, and optimized images to ensure that the website will be accessible and easy to navigate on a wide range of mobile devices.
